Root Into Radiance: A Late Summer Habit and Yoga Practice to Ground Your Growth

ree

August carries a unique energy—it’s a bridge between the expansive brightness of summer and the slowing rhythm of early fall. You may feel a mix of fullness and fatigue, as if you're being asked to hold space for both abundance and integration.

This month, give yourself permission to pause, digest, and anchor. Just like late summer harvests, now is a time to receive what you've been growing all season—then root it into your system.

Habit to Anchor: A Daily Moment of Stillness

Set aside five minutes every day to sit in silence—outdoors if you can. Let it be your reset. No agenda. No breathwork. Just be with what is. This stillness invites your nervous system to settle and your awareness to sharpen.

Yoga Pose to Support: Malasana (Garland Pose)

This grounding squat pose supports digestion—physically, emotionally, and energetically. It encourages you to root down and turn inward.

How to Practice:

  • Stand with feet a little wider than hips, toes turned slightly out.

  • Bend knees deeply, bringing your hips toward the earth.

  • Press elbows into inner thighs, palms at heart center.

  • Breathe. Soften your face. Stay for 5–10 breaths.

This pose connects you to your foundation while inviting the body to release tension and reset. You’re grounding the growth of all you’ve been tending.
